It is the Lord's greatest desire to have a relationship with you. It is why He sent His Son to earth. He calls each and every one of us to be a world changer, and the Bible gives clear instructions on how to do that.

First, we must acknowledge that we are sinners, and that there is no way that we can buy, beg, borrow, steal or work our way back into the Lord’s good graces except through acceptance of Jesus Christ as our savior. Once we do that, our lives must change, as we make Him not just the savior, but also the Lord of our lives. People around us should begin to notice positive differences as our lives align with God’s goals for us instead of with our own selfish ambitions.

As a part of this, it is important to get connected to a local church; it doesn’t matter which denomination as long as its teaching is true to the Bible. The church is the body of Christ, and every believer is a part. (Think about it, an eyeball or a kidney cannot possibly be effective all on its own.) As the characters in the book discovered, it is really important to have friends with the same values, as those who are closest to you influence every aspect of your life.

Find a Bible study or other small group with people who hold each other accountable. Come up with some clear, measurable goals to affect the world around you, and accomplish them. It's okay to start small. I will be praying for you!
